The Star Wars bestseller Novel is now being turned into a Star Wars Story

Shattered: A Star Wars Story is a long awaited movie that has been asked for by the fans ever since they started making the spinoffs. Fans' long awaited journey is now over and Disney and Lucasfilm have finally given in. With new director Spencer Hughes they are producing the movie. This movie will be based on the Paul Kemp best seller is gonna be the main basis of the film as it has been one of the best received Star Wars books of all time.

This is why I think this is a great decision to make this into a movie

1. Fan Service

The last couple of Star Wars movies have not really been taken to well by the Star Wars community and the fanbase is kinda at a disappointing standstill right now. Something that would completely lift their spirits would be to make a movie that has been requested since the spinoffs became a thing. Everyone wants to see Vader’s shattered past and how the new suit will affect him. It would be a very interesting story to tell because of the spinoffs the writers could go so many ways. Vader’s castle, bleeding of kyber crystals and Darth Nihilus.

2 . The possibilities

This time in the Star Wars universe is a very untouched and a unique part of the Star Wars universe. It was a lawless time during the transition of Republic to the Empire, there are so many storytelling possibilities. As we saw with Solo there isn’t much rule on some planets yet and crime and drug lord sorta run a lot of everything. Obviously the oppression of the Galactic Empire caused lots of groups to rebel against the Empire. We could also see the roots of the Rebellion and how the empire originally handled them.

I think that it’s a great idea to go ahead with this movie as it would provide fans with the missing piece of the chosen one's journey and it can provide lots of new storytelling opportunities in a very untouched time period of the Star Wars universe
